Michael Fleischer (*1966) started his career in Logistics during a student vacation job in 1998 and has since filled various positions in Customer Service and Operations. Having joined World Courier in 2003 he was Customer Service Trainer and Temperature Control Specialist, before being appointed Regional Quality Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2009. World Courier is a Premium Courier Service provider specialising in emergency and Biopharm Logistics in the Global Speciality Logistics Group under the AmerisourceBergen umbrella. Michael is now the Global Quality Director of World Courier’s Transport Division. He regularly speaks on Good Distribution Practice and related issues during seminars and international conferences.

International GMP and GDP regulations place the responsibility to qualify a Logistics Service Provider with the wholesaler or manufacturer. The Regulators’ expectation is that the legality, suitability and competence of a potential subcontractor should be assessed. Furthermore a full review and control of all outsourced activities is called for, using a risk based approach.
